These are some queries people used to ask me. UAE, United Arab Emirates includes 7 emirates Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Ummul Quwain, Ras al Khaimah, and Fujairah.

You cannot get a single license to practice all over UAE. Each one of them has their own authority, like

HAAD {Health Authority Abu Dhabi} for Abudhabi
DHA {Dubai Health Authority} for Dubai
MOH {Ministry of Health} for other Northern Emirates like Sharjah, Ajman, Ummul Quwain, Ras al Khaimah & Fujairah.

Here I am going to write about DHA alone. To my knowledge, HAAD and MOH have both theory exams followed by Interviews. The theory exam is of multiple-choice questions which are usually from General Medicine. For the interview only they will talk about Homeopathy.

But Dubai recently introduced a direct interview pattern without theory exams. For that, first, you have to register yourself under DHA and do the Data flow process.

Documents needed for DHA Registration:

Passport Copy {Front & Back}
BHMS Main Certificate copy
Medical Council Registration Certificate copy
Internship Certificate copy
Recent 2 yrs experience copy
Good Standing Certificate – latest one within 6 months
Basic Life support Certificate

Each copy is uploaded to the website along with the mentioned amount {Please check the DHA website for further details}. When everything is uploaded, the Data flow process will begin by DHA. Later, they will give a Primary source Verification report, once it is completed. When the result is positive, that means you are eligible to appear for the exam.

Now, You have to upload your updated CV, later, the exam date will be shared with you.

There are some consultancies doing the documents uploads, those who find difficulties in these technical things, get support from these consultancies.

How do we prepare for DHA Exams?

I had spent the whole 4 months getting ready for exams. With God’s Grace, on the very first attempt itself, I cleared the DHA exams. Here are my few suggestions

Study Davidson’s book along with Homoeo therapeutics
Read Allen’s, Boerickes, Nash’s therapeutics (Common medicines)
Be strong in Modalities of the drug with differentiating points
Read the TCAM brochure to know about Homoeo scopes & limitations in UAE
Review your original cases & why did you prescribe that particular medicine
Above all, The presence of mind & confidence is crucial because only 20 to 40 minutes of duration, they analyze & determine us.

Remember, after passing this exam, you only get DHA eligibility which is valid for one year. Within this period of time, you have to process your DHA license by initiating your practice with a registered organization.

What is the scope to practice Homeopathy in UAE?

Homoeopathy is evolving day by day in every area of the world. Likewise in UAE, it is flourishing. But here at present, you don’t have any Government Jobs.

When you ask about Job vacancies, I say “No”. Only Batra’s International is offering jobs for DHA-qualified Homoeopaths based on their needs. So you understand about it.
