So set a basic routine like after waking up, do some exercise, then bathing and breakfast. Similarly, have a routine and take mindful steps to stick to it.

Goal setting is the best way to combat depression. So set goals which are easily attainable and accessible, goals that refresh you, goals that elevate your mood, goals that manage your time, and goals that reduce your stress. Accomplish each goal and give a reward to yourself.
5. Challenge your Thoughts:
Combating depression is not a linear line, there will be more ups and downs because of your thoughts which disturb your emotions, and your emotions which disturb your behavioral pattern. So challenge your thoughts by asking questions. Many times thoughts are intrusive and catastrophic, and addressing them is far enough to overcome them. You should aware of the strategies to regulate your emotions.

Monotony is the best friend of depression. So break the monotony to combat depression. Try something new, if you don’t know cooking, start cooking so many youtube channels are available to serve your purpose or learn dance or learn some instruments. Based on your interest, just try something new, it not only helps you to combat depression but also gives benefits to your Intellectual Health.
7. Do volunteerism:
Volunteerism provides you with a sense of purpose and it helps you to meet many new people and make friends. Additionally, it increases your social skills and improves your self-esteem. An underrated way to combat depression is Volunteerism.
8. Choose Gratitude as your Habit:
Just count your blessings and be grateful for the things you are having and not having. Say thanks for everything!! Practicing Gratitude improves your mind instantly.
9. Focus on building Healthy habits:
Depression is the place where all the bad habits enter easily because you feel empty inside you will seek happiness, peace and joy in external things. Beware of Addictions!! When you combat depression, just focus on building healthy habits little by little. Some healthy habits are Exercise, journaling, gratitude practice, walking, practicing mindfulness, and Meditation. Just add one by one to your routine and stick to you.

It is quite obvious to have binge eating or skipping meals or overeating while fighting depression. So be mindful of what you are eating. Your gut health plays a major role in your moods. It is always better to cook your own food. You know, cooking is a recommended therapy for better Mental health. Take food rich in vegetables, fruits, nuts and avoid processed foods.
