Confidence is the best attire for an individual to look attractive and to connect with people. Confidence is directly linked to your well-being and it is crucial to take steps to improve your confident level when you are taking care of your Mental & Emotional Health. Here are the some tips to improve your Confidence.

Self-esteem and Self-confidence:

Self-esteem means overall opinion of yourself. That is how you feel about your abilities and limitations. It includes Self-confidence, identity, feeling of belonging and feeling of competence.

Self-confidence means feeling of security and it is the foundation of Self-esteem. It is attitude about your skills and abilities. Self-confidence means you know your strengths and weakness, accept yourself as a whole, trust your abilities and have positive view on yourself.

Know your Strengths & Weaknesses:

If you find difficulty in knowing your strengths and weakness, think and explore your previous achievements and failures in terms of your skills, abilities and values

Why you didn’t achieve your goals?

What is the reason for your failures?

How you convert your failures in to success?

This helps you to know about your strengths, weakness and assist you to have a positive image on yourself.

Accepting your weaknesses:

Self-acceptance is the root of your confidence. When you start accepting your weaknesses, you don’t feel shy about yourself, instead you leverage your strength and use your weaknesses as a stepping stones for your success.

Practice Assertiveness:

Assertiveness means ability to express your beliefs, thoughts, feelings and defending your own rights in a constructive way neither passive nor aggressive.

Eg: If your senior asked you to do a job which you don’t like to do. Passive means, you accept the job and do. Aggressive means denying the same arrogantly. Constructive pattern {assertiveness} means you understand the situation and exercising your own rights without denying the rights of others like I understand that why you asked me to do, but unfortunately, I am having other important jobs which is in top priority to do earlier. Skill plays an important role in your confident level. Pick one skill which has higher value and practice it daily to get mastered on it. Mastering a skill helps you to improve your confidence

Stop Comparison:

Comparison is the enemy of Self-confidence. When you start comparing ourselves with others, you feel very low by focusing and comparing our weaknesses with other’s strengths. This completely destroys your confident level. Social media is a demon and source of comparison. Stop comparing yourself with others, if you feel dull or low by comparing yourself to others, think about what makes you dull. This gives you a cue about what you desire most. So start working on the steps to achieve your desires.
