“Thought becomes things”, similarly when you want to stay positive in your life, first you have to think positive. By having negative thoughts, you can’t be a positive person. So think positive to stay positive. Positive thinking is directly linked to your Health & Well-being.

What is Positive thinking?

Staying positive in life indicates that you are having positive thinking. Positive thinking never mean that ignoring unpleasant factors in life, it means approaching unpleasantness in a more positive and productive way.

In general, we used to have automatic thoughts and thoughts having logics and reasons. It usually arises from data, information, perspectives, expectations, experiences & misconceptions in our previous part of life.

When you look over the strategies or tips to think and to stay positive, the process seems to be simple. But you need patience and to be consistent in practicing positivity to get a ripe fruit.

Understand  your thoughts:

Understand your thoughts, where it comes from either you are creating or it because of over thinking.

Sometimes it may be Intrusive thoughts which mean unwanted thoughts which pop up in to your head without any warning at any time. You may constantly think about this intrusive thought and ends up in negativity. During that time, don’t suppress, don’t escape, don’t resist the thoughts, acknowledge it, “Its just a thought, not the reality”.

If you are having thoughts of logics and reasoning, explore it further if it brings negativity. Explore it, sometimes it arises from misconceptions.

Acknowledging good happenings:

Many times, many people often forget or embrace the good happenings around them. Eg. You may get compliment throughout the day but you think about the things which you are not able to complete on that day. Even you don’t feel grateful for the good happenings. So stop neglecting the good things and stop magnifying the negativities.

Avoid Catastrophic thinking:

Catastrophic thinking means you assume that worst thing will happen. Eg. If you hear a bad incident at morning, you think and believe that the whole day will be a disaster. Stop this catastrophic thinking by addressing it and distract yourself positively by doing your healthy routine.

Explore your Negative thinking:

Negative thoughts are the foremost one which makes you to stop thinking positive. Explore your negative thoughts, where it comes from, when it will appear is it associated with your daily routines, particular place or person, identify the reason and take small steps to overcome from each and every thing.

Avoid Self-blaming:

Don’t blame on yourself for every negative happenings in your life. Eg. If you don’t get a phone from your friend, don’t think that they dislike you or they forget you or they got new friends.

Don’t blame others:

It is an another extent that always blaming others for all bad things in your life. Take responsibility for the things happening to you, it makes you more accountable and boosts you to stay positive.

Check yourself:

Know yourself as a whole, what you like, what you dislike, your hobbies, your habits, your interest. Cultivating self-awareness brings you energy to your life and helps you to stay positive

Accept failures:

Many times we dwell on to negativity during the time of failures. Start accepting failures and learn lesson from it. Remember, Failures have the seed of success.

Start the day with Positive affirmations:

While waking up, don’t open your mobile, instead tell some affirmations like, “Today is the great day, I am Happy & Healthy, I am the best”.

Healthy lifestyle is an underrated thing for being positive. Have some healthy routine like walking, exercise, yoga & meditation. It does wonders in your life.

Volunteerism:

Volunteerism is a great place to explore your purpose. It has a profound effect on your psychological well-being which results in reducing stress, fights depression and stimulates you mentally and makes you happy and positive. You don’t need money to help others. You need a heart & thought!! Sharing your knowledge is also a kind of Volunteerism.
